Augusta Open Space
Discussion

Augusta Open Space has created opportunities for dialogue with
the residents through art and social activities.

Meeting and sharing a moment of life, creating memories such as
a food sharing evening, a Treasure hunt, a walk…

We have defined a list of questions  to be answered by people
through these discussions, games and activities.

While taking part, people responded and discovered their place,
their neighbours and an interest in the local history.

The responses will form part of the report.

Where do you live at Augusta Park?

Where do you go, walk, cycle, run at Augusta Park?

What do you know about the history of East Anton?

Which pathways, roads do you use?

Where do you hang out?

Where do you think you would like to see a public art piece?

What do you think the benefits of public art might be for Augusta Park? For East Anton? For Andover?

How would you feel about the Smannell road deviation?

Would you like the people from Smannell to be involved in your community?

Would you like the people from Romans way to be involved in Augusta Park?

Would you like Augusta Park to feel more connected to the town? In which way?

How would you like to be involved in the choice of the Art work?

Would you be willing to be part of a small committee? be part of inspiring the design? People making parts of the artwork or pieces to inspire it?

What materials do you think would be best suited to an artwork at Augusta Park?

You can answer these questions and share your responses on the Facebook page or by emailing Laurence until 31st of May.

Walk and Talk

Laurence and Judith have walked the estate discussing public art with over 60 people from all sections of Augusta Park including the green spaces. This information will become part of Laurence's report in July 2015.

A public art project by artist Laurence Dube-Rushby
commissioned by Test Valley Borough Council.
